Hamish and Johanna Read lead Catch The Fire Christchurch along with an awesome team of people. Hamish and Jo are passionate about seeing people encounter the love of God. They have a very busy toddler who is heaps of fun! When they’re not working and churching they enjoy camping, music, time at the beach, good coffee, travelling, DIY projects, walks in nature, and quality time with their friends and family.
Hamish and Jo were both born and raised in Christchurch and have both been involved in ministry since their early 20s. Hamish has a Bachelor of Theology and served as a missionary in Brazil for several years.

God has brought together an awesome and growing team of people with a shared vision and heart to plant Catch The Fire Christchurch.
We love being part of the 'body of Christ' which is how the Apostle Paul referred to the Church, with each person having an important part to play. We are so excited by the diverse mix of gifts and passions He has put in all of the individuals that make up this team.
We love seeing people continue to grow in their area of gifting and passion and step out into the new things God has for them.
The Governance Group Catch The Fire Christchurch also has a Governance Group which provides input and accountability on financial and governance related decisions.
